No harm done. :) That D9000 call was a bit of a disaster mind, it hiding behind the Azuma for the whole duration of its visit. As for last Thursday, for once I thought that the people on the platform in that shot contributed to the scene, rather than having somebody jump right in front of the camera with a phone held wrong way up at arm's length. Would that all station visits could be so civilised.

I'm not so sure the bloke on the other platform with the camera down at platform level was as lucky as me, with the guy in the orange jacket jumping forward at the last moment, though.

44871 taking charge of "The Lincoln Christmas Express" captured at Arlesey, Peterborough, and charging through Grantham at full pelt (with a near miss from an Azuma!). Also includes some action from the NVR with 45212.

Lincoln Christmas Express, with much like the double Black 5s to York three weeks previously in weather that was typically dark, wet and windy. The departure from the Stevenage pick up and a race with an Azuma with much whistling filmed from Bridge Road...

Still no times on RTT for passing points. Is it definitely a West Coast loco as advertised, or might there have been a change?

Thanks Alex. With it being so late being announced, I was starting to wonder if they'd slipped a famous substitute in and might want to avoid crowds. :) I'm guessing 46115 again, then.

Still no timings yet on RTT for the main part of the tour on Saturday but there are confirmed timings on RTC with a York departure at 07:27 and arrival in Edinburgh at 12:51

Against a historic backdrop of Holy Island and swirling wildfowl, with its exhaust and sound blown away in a south-westerly gale, Scots Guardsman scurrying through North Northumberland this morning.

I must have been stepping on the cracks in the pavement.

All set up for an amazing sequence of shots as 46115 came through slowly in preparation for a loop stop a mile south of the station. Test bursts on passing Lumos and Azumas were spot on. Camera working perfectly (as usual).

Scots Guardsman chugged slowly along the station towards me and I started a long burst in preparation for it coming under the bridge in a cloud of exhaust steam. And this was the last shot I got, because the damned camera froze up for reasons best known to itself and I missed everything thereafter. :( 46115-(72)-fbook.jpg
