Return timings missing again. This is becomming a regular thing now, the system must be having issues if it's doing this regularly.

On another note, The Mancunian on 25th March is now on 21st October, apparently Duchess won't be ready in time for the trip, a pity keeping Galatea for longer wasn't an option.

Only the ECS back to Southall, same as RTT: https://www.opentraintimes.com/loca...n&show_can=on&show_pass=on&show_stp=on&utf8=✓

It was the same story with Saturday's Bath & Gloucester trip, return timings not appearing till the early hours of the day it ran, but everything else visible. Obviously not an issue with OTT or RTT, but I wonder why it's becoming a regular issue?

There’s nothing undue about the return times not being on RTT a month before departure regardless of the outward.

I was filming the Jubilee at Keynsham on it's return to Paddington. A mother and her excited 5 year old son were waiting for the train. As it appeared the pair waved vigorously. A crew member noticed them and returned the wave and blew the whistle through the station. The young boy was over the moon and could hardly speak with excitement. It reminded me of my youth when we waved to trains on the Somerset and Dorset railway. Happy Days indeed.

Many thanks to West Coast and RYTC for making this all possible in 2023. [BJ]

That's understandable Will, it is a surprise to see the timings this soon before the run. But how comes Saturday's return timings didn't appear till the morning of the trip? An issue with the system showing them perhaps? That's the thing that's getting confusing.

There’s nothing wrong with “the system”. NR submit times when they’re ready to the TOC. They either accept or reject based on customers request. When all parties are happy then the operation goes ahead. Those that need to know (I.e. the crew), know.

Yes, "To pull something". It is not qualified with "not having assistance" which sounds like you were trying to imply.

Thanks Fred. Much later than the RTC website is saying currently if this is true.

They were the times the last time the train ran however the ECS moves listed fit the times on the RTCs website which are about 2 hours earlier.

Nice to see the man on the shovel being recognised by the photographer although Martyn seems to have changed since I last captured him on a GB trip. Strange. Sooty.jpg

Obviously not very reliable. I hope the monster has made no unreversable plans.

It should do if they start with a full tender. The rule is there should always be at least 1000 gallons left at any point just in case of any out of course delays
