Green 5 - Sir Nigel Gresley beat 60019 to Weymouth by 43 years in preservation if 60019 does make it to Weymouth!
Sir Nigel did two trips in 1967 - will find dates and add later DH

60007 as 4498 did two trips on Southen in June 1967
3rd June to Bournemouth which I saw from the Dorset Limited special somewhere in the Southampton area and 4th June to Weymouth which I saw in Poole area, have a not very good photo somewhere en route to Weymouth
Assuming we get some rain and they have sorted 60019's propensity to start fires earlier in the year be nice to hear her climbing Parkstone Bank

47 on the back has done very little so far. Only heard very briefly when pulling away from stops. Can hear 46115 very well, and we're in the rearmost passenger coach, 9 from the front. Support coach is at the rear between us and the 47 making the train load 10 + cl 47.

Here's my video of both trains this morning, near Egham and then at Winchfield. Very nice to see those two locos out and about on the same day! Especially Scots Guardsman, that's a first for me :)

Diesel not doing much on 46115's train, as reported above. and 30777 seemed to be doing its share when I saw it.

And nice weather too! (Except we all really wanted it to be raining.... I even washed my car yesterday but it didn't work......)

Doesn't the "4" number on the front of another 4 digits in the number of a steam loco mean some sort of mechanical reaction takes place that forces the cylinder cock to remain open? (wink).

Much more manly sound than that strange 'peep' from that one with the 3 prefix also seen on video today. :rolleyes1:.
