Just a snippet of info from Carnforth, 6201 is taking water and the Lakelander tour is standing next to it with the 8f about to back on so there may be some photos about later on with the pair stood side by side from those who are at the south end of Carnforth platform.

Thanks John, I was thinking of shooting from the other end of the platform so as to avoid a shadow from the bridge but if it had been running to time there was a good chance of being bumped by the service train heading towards Bolton. I will have a look at the video shortly. I have heard since that they had a good run over Shap.

Quote from your own website which kind of sums up my attitude as well....

"I take photographs that I look looking at; photographs that sum up why I'm attracted to railways and steam locomotives.
My aim to is to go out and simply take a good photograph that I
like looking at when I go home at the end of the day".

That is my attitude, but it's poor to use it to defend your own. A bit variety wouldn't hurt your photography.

You have a monopoly on that attitude then?
If you bothered to look further than the thumbnails on the home page then you just might find some variety or try page 5 of "Heritage Railway".

    I don't quote others anyway.

I have looked at your photographs which are perfectly executed but somewhat similar.

I don't read Heritage Railway, by the way.
