My Mum really fancied going on that trip so I booked two tickets despite my doubts it would run and it seems they have come true! Shame as it promised to be a really good one.

Looking at RTC's website.. looks like Steam from Cannon St has changed to Victoria.... c'est la vie.

According to an email received from RTC, 70013 replaces 61306 on the Wandering 1500 tour. Also, Golden Arrow next month is cancelled, after at least three postponements.

Seems like I missed quite some email.

I am booked on 2 of the affected tours as a passenger, so I guess I shouldnt be surprised to be missed off the email list.. after all why would I want to know :)

Any chance someone could post that email here..

It is not really a surprise. I though it unlikely they would allow a train that is top and tailed by steam out of Cannon Street.

Brilliant. No Scots Guardsman on WH, no 61306, no Golden Arrow, and the Buxton trip off to 15th March.

The email was offering £10 off the fares for the Wandering 1500. A friend's parents were booked on the Golden Arrow, and I noticed last night that it had disappeared from the RTC website, so I asked him and he said his parents had been told it was cancelled.

Ditto from me about the B1 trip that isn't. Nice to know but am I surprised? No. However that's not the fault of the RTC. But no-one is surprised that Cannon Street is a non starter. Clearly the RTC checked with NR before advertising it........

Indeed, the only surprise would be if anybody believed it and booked a seat !

For those who may wonder, The October 19th Dartmouth Express is going to be powered by 5029.

I'm ready for 2014 by the way. Watching and hearing about all these cancelled tours is discouraging. Right now it seems like there are more than usual.

Which probably means 70013 will haul the Cheshireman on the same date instead of 61306.

I 've just booked 3 seats on the 26th October Dartmouth run. I wonder if 5029 will make an appearance on that one as well (he says with fingers and toes crossed)?

Just got that e-mail too. Great news about the 26th October run with 5029. Haven't had a run with my favourite Castle loco for some years.
