    We had a good run out. 60009 was, so far as I could tell 11 carriages back, doing most of the work for most of the time, although a diesel shove was evident on a couple of occasions. Story on the train was that the diesel was particularly required for the section from York, but I couldn't here it from where I was and mostly it is doing little more than carrying its own weight - which is necessary given that 60009 is having to haul 12 in any event! Now reformed at Scarborough with 47850 again on the back.

    Does anyone know what the problem was between Heaton Lodge Jct & Huddersfield last Friday as when checking RTT this was the only part of the return trip that lost time
    and as you can see from this photo 47580 was working hard
