Given that nothing seems to get through York without a diesel at present, any guesses where it is likely to be positioned in the formation of the Flyer?

I believe so, and answering my own earlier question, it is likely to be immediately behind the Duchess.

I see from UKsteam.info that 60009 has actually gone to Ilford for tyre-turning, and should be returning to Crewe tomorrow.

BBC Radio Manchester was giving a 30 min delay warning for trains through Ashton this morning because of a signaling problem, unusal that (!!).

Report from onboard, delay at York due to suicide or attempted suicide. Has just departed a few minutes ago.

Got my tickets for this Friday 23.08.13, they confirm 46233, but nothing about a paraffin can. Spoke to the lady at Railway Touring but she knew nothing, anyone know, are York still sticking out for diesel assistance through darkest Yorkshire! Another thread says 61994 went to North Wales without assistance today.
