After todays visit by our Scout group the van is looking in great shape for a return to active duty in Nov/Dec. There are some minor woodworking tasks and a clean up of the Vac gear with a repaint and we are there! The scouts did a great job and after a little teaching where coming out with some very impressive painting skills, next time Im going to give them a rake of wagons to do!! =D> \:D/

Have made yet more progress with our new to be passenger vehicle. Have had my mate replace the walk board steps and I have been attacking one of the vac cylinders, its all cleaned out ready for some new seals when I can get some orderd!
The other cylinder is going to receive the same treatment next then a bit of work on the roof and a ducket and we can start getting the thing painted up ready for santa's arrival!

Anyone interested in seeing our rakes of Iron ore wagons been shunted about should come down next year on our weekend open days, will post the dates in the near future here on our web site and elsewhere on Nat Pres, should be impressive running in to our mock quarry!!

Have had the roof felt off the SR brake today and am patching up some of the roof timbers, also looking at fitting one of the vac cylinders and the new roof felt this week and having the other cylinder off. :-k

The other one I took off was not so bad...................However!
Roof cleaned and painted ready for the felt, also started the task of actually painting the whole thing! what an extra set of hands would do to speed things up!! [-o<
