I don’t think it is a grass heap from its size as it would be big grass heap. I think there are other fields that are bigghere and have made less grass. It is just unusual that the 2 lines coming from it are really straight and it lines up with the siding that has no carriages on it. It doesn’t look like a heap of sticks either. I think explanation is needed from someone

This is what the Kent East Sussex extension looks like and it looks a lot the same and there is not a grass heap at this one. Except they have got a lot further probably because they don’t have to hide what they’ve done as it’s known about C8519002-1FAF-461F-AAAF-EEC498082A27.jpeg

What do you think the rationale would be for the MHR to keep an extension secret? Railways are hardly well known for keeping extensions quietly, they're usually done to much fan-fair.

We already have had an explanation from someone connected to the MHR, see below:

This is all getting very silly.

Has someone been smoking the grass heap?

You know if you stare at your hand really hard you can see Kilmersdon.

Kilmerson is good for track like this. Like when they do rides to arldingly on the bluebell railway or on a railway like Helston that’s not really going anywhere. It’s a good engine for running on extensions and for many other purposes

What track? There is no new track, no extension, nothing. Please stop the nonsense conspiracy theories

I think the last two words could have been removed with no loss of meaning. Come to that, the first two sentences as well...

I’m going to regret asking this, but what other purposes is an industrial 0-4-0 shunter good for? Especially when it’s a non runner at the moment?

The easiest thing is to just set him to "ignore". It certainly doesn't affect the 'flow' of the thread.

It will just be good to find a new area to go up and down on. The shunting at washford will be a grave loss to wsr

It is like an episode of the Unbelievable Truth.

I agree though with one point. Kilmersdon would look very nice shunting in the yard at Alresford.

There could be an idea for getting in the museum wagons and going for a trip to the buffers and on an extension if it is true ever as it looks more than grass clippings to me. The best bit of this would be you could be in the wagons looking at the museum and also be getting a ride

I think that the only way to create an extension beyond the buffer stops would be to ensure the line was clear before dispatching a wagon from Ropley with a sharp push from a locomotive left uncoupled from the wagon. It would alas be a one way trip for both wagon and any occupants foolhardy enough to make the journey.
