Excellent shot as always Stuart, you certainly are getting lucky with the sun, are you sure you don't just unroll a backdrop behind each location. ;)

Cracking shot Stuart, do i just live on the wrong side of the hill or what !

What that pic needs is some photo shop palm trees and sun-kissed maidens adding in !

Going to try and dry my camera out now before tonight, when i expect it will get another soaking !

    Matt.

It was uncanny this morning, I got there and it was dull and cloudy as you can see from the photo, then five minutes before she arrived the sun broke through, and she was late thank god.

For the rest of the day it's been hissing it down! :(

I like the sun kissed maidens idea although you'd be hard pushed to find a maiden of any kind round here!

By the way Ralph she's not going as fast as last week. ;)

Mr Cubitt on the regulator and John Fletcher firing from Wakefield I believe (although last night, Chris was claiming he was on the "QE2" today - with the benefit of historical hindsight, you can see what he means!)

Evening all, well thats the last of the Flyers for another year. Great to see they've been well loaded again, hopefully a recipe for the same next year ?

Pouring with rain today, (just for a change !!) Decided on a new spot today at Friezland, looked great on google earth but the dreaded trees were shocking ! Would be well worth a look in winter though. With hind sight i picked the wrong bridge should have been just after Mossley Station, i could hear her picking up after the TSR there and heared some cracking slips. She roared into my view, sanders blasting away a good mile later.
After the camera spent the rest of the day in the airing cupboard drying out, decided to have a crack at a dusk Diggle shot. However 30 late and the shot was darker than a dark thing that had been painted a dark shade of black on a dark night ! So i binned it !!
Any how, beer time, heres the clip.

    Matt.

Beer time was at the Buffet Bar to see her through with a toast from us and a Kit Kat for the grandson, then a run to Denton to tell my mate, who was riding, that we had set up a tab for him and had a pint all round on it. He wasn't taken in!

Embarrassing to be met by greetings all round from the support crew, stewards and even some riders - I know too many people.

A quick run to Stockport was frustrated by a 40 limit on the M60 between J24 and 25, but we got a grandstand view of her in the dark on Stockport viaduct, and finally accelerating away through Cheadle Hulme.

    Magic stuff!

I took two at the same spot yesterday, this was the second and a bit more "in yer face".

The wife and I got back from our week in York yesterday, I've just started converting my Raw shots, here's one I managed to get of 6201 bring in the SF at York Station last Friday in some rare sunshine.
