Don't worry old bean, there's always plenty of cover down where the Sun Shines Most when God's Wasted Resources begin to throw the cloth out with the Brasso (tongue firmly in cheek ;)).

I call everyone old bean, otherwise it would be 'chaps', and I don't necessarily know the gender of the posters on this forum, so old bean covers most eventualities! Anyway, I was coming to the aid of the poor LMS aficionado in post 158 who seems to be a bit under assault from the GWR fraternity...

Ha, ha, tee-hee, get behind your sofa, etc. Trust me to post missives of vernacular inexcellence at the simultaneous chronology as partaking an aqueous solution of cereal-based provender, aqua-pura and agrarian catalyst in intemperate magnitude. If you understand what I have just said, you are a better 'old bean' than I. Suffice to say, it was very tasty! Anyway, back to the thread...

After a last minute change of plans... I'll be going to stockport in the morning to see this. Would venture out to a better location, but I now have college holding me back..

Well done! You have almost certainly twigged as to what I was referring to in my previous post. Sir Humphrey Appleby hasn't got a patch on me, methinks!

Good news there - presumably the Ouse Bridge area will be hosting NR engineers as Number 9 crosses it :)

well if your near york and hear a big thud.. You know it's failed the test!

Departed stockport on time.. Didn't make it to the station in time so took the last minute decision to get off the bus and get a picture of it going over the viaduct!

Whats to say, if they monitor the Scarbro bridge, they will let it return, could have to come back the long way round, hopefully

Looked magnificent at Wakefield Kirkgate this morning. Gleaming in the sun, well loaded with folks going to the seaside on a day out.
