I wonder if it's possible to get either onto the roof of Regent House or at least to a window on the top floor? It would need to be an opener.

I believe Regent house is private, for business' only. Not sure whether the roof is accessible, but I reckon you'd need a job there to find out! :p
Wasn't the best picture. My original plan was to get up to the station, but as walking from the bus, I heard that chime from the station! had to get a position quickly!
That position has worked for others in the past, a shot not long ago recently got posted on facebook from that position, if not a bit lower. 312523_261128000573084_2548056_n.jpg

Still, probably the last of this season I'll be seeing, will try a few different places next year. Still got a few places to test out after I'm new to all this railway photography like! :D

    Evening All

Further to todays welcome return to the Scarborough Flyer of 60009 Union of South Africa, i took these photos 4 years,1 week ago on the 29th August 2008. if i remember rightly it was 60009’s last run as it failed just a few minutes later at Mirfield/Ravensthorpe, never to return till today.

Was this a different rake of coaches from what has been used on the previous 6 Flyers?

    :D

    Love it!

Ultimately, though, we all know that it's the guy composing the shot who does the hard work :) I've seen some awful shots taken with VERY expensive camera gear...

So true. I know I can't compete on quality with my older cheaper camera so that's why I try to go for more interesting shots. I've seen shots that whilst they may be crystal clear quality they're boring.

Glad you like it Mark, that's the first time I've had the chance to see 60009 this year.

They are all good to me, keep em coming fellas. I don't DO photography, I haven't even got a camera.

A while ago Stuart put one up of 46223 exiting Elland Tunnel. I thought it was great, wonderful shot, Then Stuart chirps up and says that he wasn't happy with it because it was a bit out of focus. :noidea:
