....it sure was gloomy this morning in Diggle, but the Princess sounded strong and more than made up for the weather. Sorry if these shots are getting a bit "samey" but i can only get so far in my works brew time!.....Matt

Didn't have any time Friday evening to report on this as I was out again early Saturday, 5.45 at Crewe for the CME.
Anyway despite the weather the consensus from the paying passengers was favourable, and the final sprint from Wilmslow to Crewe on the way home was spectacular to say the least. I'm sure that 'Not as fast tonight' did not apply as we were reported to be doing a generous 75 all the way!!!!

Good shot considering the light tonight... I'll blame you for the black clouds tonight then Stuart! I think we'll have to stop cursing the light with these texts Stuart.

It looked like we may have had to give way to a Kings x train on departing York, then another train South of Colton Jc.
Also we were stopped next to the Glasshoughton Container port, then further on near Normanton.
We were advised that more Cables had been stolen and some signals were out. this still made us no more than 20 mins late into Huddersfield.
A Cracking day of rides otherwise behind a very Powerful Princess.

Not to mention the race with one of thone electric thingies south out of York. At one stage we were actually overtaking it, but eventually the driver nearly melted his pantograph pulling so much power in his attempt to pull away.

Really warming to Neil, every week we get photo evidence that 6201 or 6233 is running, regardless of the location. Keep up the good work, salutations.

Went to a new spot (to me) this morning just after Healey Mills and met some photographers.

Also saw an idiot in the middle of the tracks taking photographs. He probably got some great shots but that is not the point.

Film later although a van came up behind as the train was passing so all you might hear is a transit instead of a Princess!
