When you say next weekend, do you mean this Saturday coming up (11/08) or a week Saturday (18/08)?

Running in trials of newly overhauled loco's in the past have happened on weekdays in the evenings after the services have finished. But you never know..........

Yes, I remember when 45379 was fresh out of the shop, I kept hearimg the hooter around 5;30-6 or later, never managed to get up to Alresford station in time to actually see it, although I did see the smoke trail in Sun Lane cutting! Does Cheltenham have a similar whistle to Nelson?? My son is much better than me at telling whistles apart.

I would have thought that the "photographic evidence" would come in quite handy for the use of blackmail and the calling in of favours when the time is right :spy: ........................................... or just pin the photo's up in the mess room at Ropley   :yo:

    I think that's rather subjective(don't you?)!

Depends on whether they're wearing fishnets or stockings............................... and fishnets don't do anything for me.........who's wearing the shortest skirt  .......................I'd let the female 'staff' have the casting vote......................... First prize......................... tickets to the Rocky Horror Picture Show................................... :becky: :yo:

Well Ian, it was in steam yesterday though it did not turn a wheel as such during the day though it may have gone out on test in the evening.

I understand it went out on test the previous evening.

    Kind regards

Thanks David, slightly off topic I know, but is anyone aware of which engine will be on the dining train tomorrow evening? Am hoping for either 31806 or 34007, and was thinking of capturing it as it climbed the bank out of Alresford as the sun began to set :)
