Another chasing day! Good scenes (and, it should be said, good technical work) and you had me wondering what animal was sitting up for you at 4:05 until I realised it was the wind-shield!

You're quite correct. Sometimes there can be three runs out of Victoria over former SR metals in an even shorter timeframe if you have, say Royal Windsors from SD, a DCE from RTC and Clan Line taking the Pullmans out. This is due to happen at least once this year - in Mid-July. I think the exceptional weather that has accompanied these three runs is really what has made the last few days so special and perfect for photography - wall-to-wall sunshine and for the most part, cool enough for clouds of steam. However, having said that, particularly with 60103's run yesterday, the combination of the unusually warm temperatures by the afternoon and it being stuck behind stopping trains weren't very conducive for dramatic exhausts, as some pictures and videos above illustrate.

On the way back they stopped for water at Fleet, so I went along with my cameras. The regulator was certainly opened on departure...

Great sound - I suspect a major push from the 47 at the start to get that acceleration but good work from FS too.

Indeed it was Ron, Bob didn't hold back on the departure & your video captures it perfectly, it sounded good onboard 60103 as well! :)
