I would guess one is the King to make up for the no-show in September?? If they have an example of the "biggest" BR, LNER, LMS and GWR passenger engine then a Merchant would fit nicely. (Plus I can't recall ever seeing a MN on the Valley. Plenty of Bulleids but no Merchants.) I know Clan Line doesn't do preserved lines...... but a man can dream.

Already knew about 6233 attending. 71000 and 60007 also attending with more to be confirmed. THIS IS GREAT! :-D 8)

SVR must be going all out to make it a great event. 1 has to wonder what next year's Autumn Gala will be like?

    5029 is rumoured.

    That would make it
    60007
    71000
    6233
    5029
and possibly 70013 with 43106 working between Bewdley and Kidder shuttles.

This really is all sounding awesome if all is true and everything makes it.

Are they going to have the all night running going too?

Only down side to the star cast is no room for my Manors :-(

Just remembered, wasn't 34081 supposed to visit before the SVR suffered all the floods?

Maybe one could be a spam can? Obv wont be 34081 now but would be nice to see one at SVR.

And where does it say no manors out of interest? Will be very dissapointed not to see at least one.

34081 was due to make an appearance at the 2007 Autumn Gala, but this didn't happen of course.

And you can't have a gala without Manors, it just wouldn't be right!

Yay... Cause the Manors do rule after all :)

Just assumed with the lineup planned that there wouldn;t be any room on the timetable for them

Any news on the night running?

I'm sure they will find some use on 'locals' as it is a gala after all.

Night running is normally saved for the autumn gala, and in the SVR link at the beginning someone on there implies they are sticking to this.

Only doing Bewdley - Kidder would be the running in or towards the end of running in.
The boiler has been in the frames in the last month but had to be removed again.

The SVR Spring Gala coinsides with the second weekend of NNR's M&GN 50th gala. I had sort-of expected that if 43106 was finished in time it would be going to Norfolk - it seems the obvious guest loco to invite. Early days yet, I know...

Somehow I think the SVR will want to make sure the engine is well run in before people are saying we should be shipping it off elsewhere, it would be early on in its ticket that weekend if it was a runner. I can't speak for the SVR, this is merely my own opinion, but would you ship off the unique prize loco youv'e been rebuilding several years when you've got your own special event on?

This gala doesnt really sound that brilliant to me i'm afraid. I thought that the SVR Spring Steam Gala was supposed to have a Branch Line feel to it? I had hoped that after hearing No.7 would be visiting, the SVR would look at an LNER themed gala with possibly Morayshire and the N7. I bet the track maintenence guys will love all of the tender first running from the likes of 71000, 60007 et all! Pretty much all these loco's all have OTMR fitment, whats the point of shunting them up and down 16 mile long sidings?!?
