Not my cup of tea, but I've already bought my 3-day rover and booked a hotel. Home fleet and 37409 for me!

Genuine question. Will there be anymore heritage visitors? At the moment, I can sell my 3-day rover and buy a day ticket.

The Class 17 will require repairs prior to the diesel gala. Whilst at the K&ESR, it sprung a coolant leak. Hopefully it is a minor fault and resolvable but if not, the Clayton may be out of action.

Lots of bashers not happy on the SVR Facebook post of the timetable. From what I can see, the 69 makes one evening trip KR-BY-KR return on the Saturday, and the 70 hauls a KR-BH service which then forms the last train back to KR, which it tags on the back of, anybody going by mainline train will be long gone by then.

I assume it's down to train crew being available from the FOCs? But one has to ask what is the point of getting these locos in and making a big fuss about it if they aren't running most of the time. ELR seem to be able to run the mainline locos in the day.

The ELR have an advantage of their own airbraked stock. The SVR doesn't so it is hired in.

Plenty of hotels in the area …with the number of AB visitors they were never going to all work one day .

Not everybody has the time or money to spend on hotels which have shot up in price the last few years, especially with just 2 weeks notice. I am not interested in attending SVR diesel galas myself, just making a point.

Yes very disappointing I have a 3 and a half hour rail journey to get to the SVR, booked Thursday and Saturday but have to leave about 4pm to get home at a decent hour

Personally, I'm very pleased with the timetable. The people who want to "red-pen" the modern stuff can have a trundle down to Bewdley, while the rest of us have plenty of decent paths to enjoy behind the good stuff. Everyone's a winner (even if not all the locos are).

Issues with the HST leading to a 15 min delay. HST now fixed and will pick up its diagram shortly.
