But it will be the first time you can see 4492 with the teaks - it may be repeated in the future on the NYMR but with Bittern being a no-show at their latest gala SVR have unwittingly ended up with the scoop.

The A4 is unauthentic on any preserved railway , but on a full rake of teaks will look stunning

Even better if it has its kitchen open serving breakfast :)

Not finished - and the name of the game would be bums on seats, as everyone's going to want to travel on that train as well as phot it.

Alright that was more of a joke but yeah, why I said they will have a maroon/blood and custard mark 1 on the one end to increase the amount of seating.

Maybe the railway could consider hiring a couple of teaks from the Moors to up the capacity like when the SVR sent the teaks north a few years ago.
    Just a thought!

My point is that by putting 7960 into the rake there would be no need to put a mk1 front or rear.

To be honest I don't think it will be done anyway - it was done with Tornado in October 2009 because of the obvious effect 60163 has upon the public, who want to travel behind her, and naturally the railway wanted to capitalise on that with maximum seating.

Photos from the March 2009 gala show 60007 running with 7 teaks, and I think 60019 will have the same. 828 ran with seven LMS coaches in september - admittedly making for a very busy train. It being a gala there will be plenty of other trains to travel on. The appeal of 60019 on the teaks will be in the photos rather than in the travelling. I reckon we'll either see 7 or 8 teaks (7960), but not 7 teaks and a mk1.

We'll see what happens, 4492 may not be the only loco requiring the use of the teak set for the benefit of photographers.
    Watch this space.

Sounds interesting, I wonder what we see, hopefully it won't be too long before more guests are announced.

61994 had 7 teaks and a maroon mk1 in Spring 2010. Surely less of a draw for photographers and people riding than any A4? Also I think 60007's teak rake included the Mk1 prototype which at the time was teak. 828 had 6 as it was limited.

Though in fairness, on the tuesday before the Gala it did have a go at 7 (7 LMS weigh roughly 6 Mark 1's), but found them a bit too much on Highley bank.

61994, being in BR livery, could get away with having a Mk1. 60007 definitely did not have E3083 in its rake, it was seven pure teaks, I was looking at my photos the other day.

Anyway, all this conjecturing is fairly pointless as Mr. Clarke reminds us. We shall see. (but I hope 7960 gets put in to make it 8 teaks :D)

I'm afraid it certainly did... I believe one of the LNER TSO's was out of traffic at the time.
Rest assured folks, if extra vehicles have to be added to set N, they will be on the rear end of the train in relation to which way the relevant loco's are facing.

Careful study of my picture shows that I stand corrected! It was hiding behind a tree...skilful photography on my part if I do say so myself :D

Yes, the 'experimental open first' coach E3083 was scrumbled in light brown (?) at the time. What livery does it now carry?
