It might be easier for you if we didn't come, by the sound of it.....

Or just be on the platform on time ready to get on the train? If there wasn't this type of intensity, people would still be complaining, as well if delays occurred, complaints would arise...as a passenger and mainly a photographer, this timetable is perfect!

    Thanks,
    Lewis

Typical. People moan for years and years because they can't get a copy of the WTT for free, then when they can, they start complaining because of a singular phrase used for operating staff's benefit. I really don't see what you're complaining about. If we start holding trains, causing delays, leading to they whole system running late I'm sure you'd be complaining too. So which one do you want?

I really don't see how anyone can accuse the SVR of not valuing it's passengers when we will be putting on a show for you all that is second to none. Well done Tom on what looks an excellent timetable. Personally, I'm looking forward to making it happen.

All facings are on the public timetable available from the SVR website.

Cheers Andy, the phrase in question has been copied and pasted from timetable to timetable since the late 90's, people who have bought them (For the princely sum of £5, I hasten to add) have never complained, but now we've shoved it online for all to see, free of charge, all hell breaks loose!

With Regard to loco facings, 47406 south, 69023 south, 1744 south, 4464 north, 7812 north, 4566 north, 828 north, 5164 south, 43106 south, 42968 south, many will be turned throughout the gala, (the jinty as soon as it returns to kiddy on friday morning, not mentioned in the WTT) check the public version for facings and the wtt for when the turntable is planned to be used.

Regards, and, most of all, enjoy the gala!

    Tom

I don't think a couple of mild comments (mine very tongue in cheek) is "all hell breaking loose".
I do very much appreciate the availability of the loco rosters, free of charge. I am looking forward to visiting on the Friday of the Gala. I hope you've arranged for the sun to be shining on both sides on the line simultaneously, or the photographers will be complaining :)

Fair comment, There are a lot of politics involved when writing a timetable such as this, and to see the service down the pan can be a right old proverbial "kick in the teeth".
If anyone's about, come and say Hi, I'm at Highley Friday as loco shunter (may even bag a go on the Jinty in the afternoon, in the event of 828 making it), Kidder on Saturday, loco shunter again, then firing 7812 Sunday.... I don't bite, and any comments/constructive criticism face to face would be appreciated.!

Tom - take no notice of a few moaners who were probably too mean to pay the £5 - thanks for all your efforts and see you at Bewdley next weekend!

Like Tom says, don't be afraid to come and say hi to any of us vols. The majority of us don't bite. I'll be riding on friday but then I'm on cleaning turns at Bridgo Saturday morning and Sunday til finish (meaning i'll be there pretty much all weekend!). I'll be happy to chat, answer any questions folks may have, although obviously Tom is really the man to ask about the gala!

Not BOTH sides please. S. East at Kiddy, North East dep. Bridgenorth and West elsewhere and high enough in the sky to get to the bottom of the cuttings but with a nice reddish sunset type glow please.

I too endorse the thanks for the excellent information.

    Cheers Colin...!

Just as an update, mainly for photographers, the Stourport spur adjacent to Bewdley South Signal box, up to, and across the Bewdley By-pass bridge is occupied by engineers wagons for the winter works at the tunnel, thus, unfortunately some photographic locations have been severely restricted. The area around the 'Stourport Triangle' shot should be ok to a degree.
A 10mph speed restriction is currently imposed through the tunnel, thus locos will be shut off upon the approach, possibly opening up towards the mouth of the tunnel (dependant on the crew, obviously) So, any shots, taken around safari curve will probably be restricted to the stretch between the 'Triangle' and 'Devils Spittleful bridge' about 2/3rds round....
Good job there's plenty going on further up the valley, only the "Prairies" and "Apple green duo" are in my plan to fot on that stretch over the weekend (amongst doing everything else, I do occasionally like to venture out to record the interest I've timetabled! :) )
Hope this is of some help!
    Tom

To add to Tom's post it may be possible to photograph the north-facing engines putting steam on coming out of the tunnel and round SPC.
