Will the Solihull route be used this coming Sunday 7th August for the Stratford - Snow Hill legs? Also, is 5043 confirmed for Sunday?
    Thanks.

Post #39 by @Sidmouth suggests North Warwick again as Solihull - Hatton (and points south) still likely to be under posession.

Times from NetRail do suggest we are on the N.Warwick this Sunday 7th August.....and there has been quite a bit of prep going on around a certain double-chimney Castle these last few days.

I will confirm Sundays loco on Saturday.

Very enjoyable day today on the Shakespeare Express . traveled from Stratford to Birmingham and return which at £15 for main line steam is excellent value , made for me all the better for being the North Warwicks . Nice to see @Ben Vintage-Trains at Stratford

Tragic as this is there is a fine line between personal responsibility and making life so safe it will become so dull it won't be worth living. I have hung out of train windows watching locos at work for over 50 years quite safely by taking normal precautions. You don't lean right out and don't on outside curves when you can't see what's coming, Enginemen have done it since cabs became common and how many of them have come to an untimely end like this. I just hope this sad incident doesn't provoke an over the top reaction.

If so I'll arrange a trip
