Was the reason that they were knocked down due to the crash? Cant wait to see what it will look like. Would be nice if a webcam or something was up to show or a picture everyday in the same place and put it into a montarge.

Well the buildings were still there late 50's early 60's I believe so not due to any crash that I know of, although I'm not sure of the reason for demolition.

There was a crash into the building, but this was probably M&GN days. On the planning it has 1970s demolition but with a question mark.

M&GN was known for having a low insident record. I think this was done by a different company traveling on the line? I think I read somewhere.

If you want an advert, why not rebuild the cattle dock spur and park a steam loco in it? That would be even better than a signal box....

Tempting, very tempting but I think that would be best left to our tame civil engineer.
Also I think I've used up all my play time allowance for a while.

Still if it were to happen I'd be happy to help out.

I had a quick look at the weblink for the plans for the replacement station building. Wonderful !! Cant wait to see the new building finished. Is the intention that it will be built by contractors or the railways own volunteers ? Any ideas how long it might take ?

    So some additional questions ?

1 What about a footbridge at Sheringham: It has been mentioned on the forum but no details given ? Does the railway already have one that is suitable ?

2 Now that there is a nice link to the mainline, Would the railway consider upgrading any of its Engines to main line running condition, eg the B12 or 92 Squadron ? B12 to Norwich, Cromer , Wymondham, Dereham Yes please !

    1. the foot bridge that they were going to use or have planned is at whitwell station, There is alot more but I dont think I can say it.

Squadron is very rusty in places, It could be done in the overhaul in the upcoming years. But for now its is stored.

The NNR have far too much work and not enough people to look after day to day stuff without adding the idea of mainline running on top.
If however there was a specific group who had the time and resources to look after the B12 and who could pay for the mainline electrical stuff then if might be on option, but you're always going to be limited due to cromer.

Not sure about the footbridge but it is something which the NNR want fairly soon but not sure when, probably down to finance more than anything else.

The last one at the bridge wasn't planned, couldn't make it to North Walsham in time so went to a bridge at Cromer instead.
