just heard that one of the fire hydrants at bescot has failed so the locos have had to detatch from the train to take water

not sure what happened at wolves..vt havent really shared much with us passengers, except the fire brigade announcement, but then we left minutes later, explanation now is not being able to locate a hydrant, that didnt involve crossing the other running lines. Bescot i guess was just unlucky!
i'm sure we'll find out what happened eventually..

    Journeys near its end.
Fantastic day, thanks goes to vintage trains and the SVR for todays trip, very much reccomend.

Speakling to the steward earlier, he started at 6am, and finishes in about an hour, unglamourous unpaid and takes
the stick from the public when it doesn't work...he's going for a well earned chinese when they arrive.

I will second that, I was waiting at Hamstead at its due time only to be told by a staff member that there were problems at Bescot.

    Great day following the Panniers:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DZ-aygQwSE

Seen at Cosford, Ironbridge (two shots), Shifnal, Blakedown and Kidderminster. Also 5764 and 4566 make a fine departure for Bridgnorth.

I tried to book on the train but was too late (twice). Great to follow the train however and a fine sound at Ironbridge. Thanks to Tyseley and all who made it happen.
