Is Zontar out tomorrow? - if he's got that nice lady they draped over 55022 the other year around, it may be worth a visit

Last night the decision was taken NOT to run on Sunday, especially with more snow forecast. We have also suffered from frost which seems to have frozen the main water supply to the columns.

Todays mini diesel gala didnt go according to plan. Gresley N2 69523 (1744) was declared a failure and 45231 was left to run the service on the RB set top and tailing with the diesel before being removed from the last train to preheat the diner set . 78019 will deputise for 1744 tommorow.

MHR Website reports that the special Freight Weekend planned for 16th/17th Jan has been postponed until Feb 5th/6th. They have not been able to get everything ready during the week. They will be running a normal 2 train service this weekend instead; one steam, the other a DMU.
