    Who's for a free day out ?

Owing to the success of our first event at Crewe in 2008, we're please to announce that the South Cheshire running day will now become an annual event. The date has been set for 2009 on Sunday 5th April.

The main event will be located at Crewe Heritage Centre and Crewe Bus Station. There will be a variety (approx 35) of classic and modern buses operated around the local areas and to several local tourist attractions.

Buses will operate from approximately 09:30 onwards, with departures at very regular intervals throughout the day, with last departures approximately 17:30. Due to the popularity of the 2008 event we have additional parking space for visiting bus & coaches, thanks to Crewe & Nantwich Council and Arriva.

There will be displays of vehicles at the Heritage Centre and also at the adjacent car park in Oak Street and Crewe Bus station, also model transport displays and stalls inside the Heritage Centre building.

There will be approximately 8 departures per hour from the Heritage Centre, with additional journeys operating as required at busy times.

Travel on all services is entirely FREE OF CHARGE. For this day only, admission to Crewe Heritage Centre is also free of charge to anyone purchasing a Running Day programme/timetable. The programmes will be available on all buses and at the Heritage Centre on the day for £3.00, which include full timetable of services.

Arriva will be operating ex-Crosville Leyland Olympian 3122 (C212GTU) on service K38 during the day. Programme holders will also be entitled to free travel on this vehicle as part of the running day. Full details available in the programme.

6201 Princess Elizabeth and 6100 Royal Scot will also be on site during this event.
