Sorry for delay in report but here goes.

The sun shone and L.99 looked superb throughout the weekend, especially with the LT goods train. It was great to see the T-Stock back in traffic and proving popular with our visitors. Obviously the vintage coaches are a real crowd puller. Hopefully the second vehicle will be back in traffic later this year doubling our capacity and I hope we can put some special days together when the pair can operate.

Spartan returned to traffic without any fanfare and just carried on where she left off - simply getting on with the job. It's great to have this loco back in service once again and hopefully we can get a lot of use out of her over the summer months, putting her dual braking capabilities to good use.

There are some fantastic photos and videos of the weekend available on the net. Far too many to choose from as favourites. I don't think I have ever seen our lineside as packed with photographers as it was on that weekend.

Keep your eyes open for LT2 gala. It will not be a weekend itself but a bolt on to another special event in the Spa Valley's calendar towards the end of the year. It is likely it will coincide with L.99's final runs on the railway before the end of its visit. We hope to get our LT crane put back together and a hopper wagon to make a bigger works train together to put behind the loco. Also there will be the second T-Stock too.

Anyway hope you all enjoyed the visit from those who visited. If it was your first visit, I hope you were impressed by what we offered and will make a return visit.

    Matt
