Bristol Barrow Road was 82E at the end. It was way before my time that it was 22A. Not sure exactly what year it changed to the Western Region though.

I'm not sure how accurate this is. The gen is from Wikipedia. <BJ>
    Bristol 22A (until 1 February 1958)
1950–1958 Bristol (Barrow Road) Became 82E.

22A from 1935 when the L M S introduced this system, altered in 1958 by BR to 82E.When it closed to steam in 1966 the western region had managed to clear most of the L M S engine out .In 1957 I caught a Bristol to Newcastle train at York which came n behind a Bristol Jubilee ,I expected a loco change ,but no the same loco' took he train to Newcastle, some run that .
