65033 is now starting to look like an engine again, things like the chimney, boiler cladding, cab and rods are now back on the loco.
It is on display in the workshop area at Locomotion Shildon.

The new platform at KSE is now basically finished and looks superb.

Sorry not this time, the buffet car will be closed as the shop will hopefully be very busy and the staff will be working in there. Dont worry though we have got some outside catering and also a BEER tent.

I have to say that I was wonderfully impressed with the work done to the station area and the organisation that was needed to run an event as well as those did at Kirkby Stephen. Many other railways simply don't organise themselves or co-ordinate things as well as what was achieved at this event and it was the first for this lines Preservation movement. Id hope it can be a event thats repeated, and see the line grow quickly from Kirkby Stephen away towards Appleby.

My pictures and full review of the event can be seen on my website here: http://www.blackhatrailwaypictures.co.uk/p570292127

    Well done all....

Inspired decision to make this a free event and get so many local people onside, majority of those attending yesterday were clearly not enthusiasts but the future general customer base.
Equally great thinking to invite Aln, Eden, G 5 etc to publicise their projects and bring so many volunteers together.
Impressed Steam Railway mag threatening a full feature.
Standing on the platform inside superbly evocative.
