Blimey, I wonder what "Never seen in the steam in the UK" could mean. Locos that have been seen in the UK but never steamed, gone abroad and brought back to life, and would be interested in popping back aren't exactly common.

Post on Facebook stating the full roster to be all those mentioned above plus Fiji, Harrogate, Tiny (The Plymouth Diesel Loco), The Simplex on shunting duties around Statfold Junction and 18inch Jack. Plus Victoria and the Diesel on the Mease Valley.

Looking forward to this one, hoping the weather holds!

Bit disappointing however that the shuttle bus service from Tamworth seems to have been significantly reduced compared to previous events. Timetable
Only hourly rather than half hourly in the morning/afternoon, with nothing during the middle of the day.
Potentially a long wait or cab if your incoming train is late and you miss the bus.

Yes a shame it couldn't be at least half hourly at the start of the day, but I suspect demand is now high (it has never been busy). And it beats before when I would hike the hour from the station through town and then over the fields.

I've just got back from a splendid day there. Glad I extended the hire on the car rather than go by train as the job seems to have stopped: my friend is still sitting at Tamworth station :(

Had a great day today too, lots going on. Got several rides on the main line as well as one on the Mease Valley and one on the tram. Also got my first ever ride behind K1, albeit the very short hop from Oak Tree Halt to Statfold Jn.

Train timings thankfully all worked out with the buses, which were fairly well loaded in both directions.

Weather was very hot, but not unbearably so, we did have to partake of an 'ice slushy' from the bar and an ice cream though!
Thankfully despite all the disruption affecting the WCML, we still got home to Banbury at a reasonable hour (though our preferred route via Nuneaton was disrupted due to train cancellations, we were still able to use the far less pleasant option of changing at New St).

    Few pics from the day.

A few pictures of the day. I was particularly amused by the Fowler sugar plantation locomotive leading Fowler "Saccharine"... :D

I forgot to mention that earlier disruption that delayed my friend getting to Tamworth (as in, "this train is no longer stopping at Tamworth") meant a swift diversion to Tamworth station to collect him rather than him having to wait for the bus.

Worse still, the chaos on the WCML left him getting home to Brentford past midnight...
