    1Z46 bypassed the failure via the Up slow returning to the Dn slow north of Bletchley, then to the Dn main at Hanslope avoiding Northampton.

    Weedon. Now there's a treat for anyone needing that route. The trouble is that it happens a result of a problem rather than as a planned route. It's a section of the WCML that I have yet to do with steam.

    Funnily enough my only steam trip (60009) over it was due to failed freight train on the Northampton loop.

    Wet and hazy at Millmeece and somewhat reminiscent of grainy 1960s B&W images, the deficit which was at one time 90 minutes had been halved by this point.
    Stopped raining by the time I got home, I hope it did in Chester.

    The 'phones were out for the post-sunset SSE passing Little London (Shere). Video frame, also showing the location of the old foot crossing (line across the ballast) which the footbridge replaced. The firebox door is open.
