    37324 is of course back on the big railway now, I don't recall whether it still had or used a steam heat boiler when on the Mid Hants - someone here will probably know....

    Ah, 40 106. When this celebrity got its new coat of green paint it was a must-see for us spotters... and I remember trudging through some impressive snowdrifts (read: up to waist) back in 1979 to see it run on the ECML one night.

    It was well worth it :)
