    No chance !!

We are very busy behind the scenes.

ie. I am currently in liaison with the various railway publications with respect to the advertisements.

The distribution of the SSSII leaflets are being stepped up by the team.

    Anyone wish to assist ?

I gether Repton is out due being drafted in for the whitby's?

I also gather the SUPER 'D' is just sitting the shed pending running agreament for 2009, would make a nice replacement for repton and I suspect she will not be doing much that week.

Yep as Neil says there is an awful lot going on behind the scenes.

Not much we can tell you about really at the moment I'm afraid, though I'll just give a quick summary for those of you interested.

As you may have seen in Steam Rly, 3802 will not be now appearing due to an Axle problem. Our Mystery Guest is still to be confirmed. Hopefully we will have an agreement in place soon though and once we do we will publicise it on here. Even though it looks like there could be 11 locos we still have a few tricks up or sleeves et ;) Watch this space!

The draft timetable has been completed except for loco diagrams as with not knowing which locos for definate we are having, we see it pointless writing them. The timetable will be on the website from the end of February hopefully, excluding loco diagrams. To get the loco diagrams you will have to buy the brochure (at £3), though we are considering making the full working timetable available for purchase aswell.

We mentioned a Freight Cruise previously, still to get confirmation of this but once I have it I will let you guys know. As it was a Nat Pres idea it has been decided to make it available to Nat Pres first.
There is also hoped to be an evening photo shoot on Thursday the 23rd in Llangollen shed from 18:00 till 00:00. Details for booking on this later, again once I have it confirmed.

To be honest, 30926 was never fully in the running to be at the gala as we ourselves had not budgeted for her. It was an idea that came about with us already having three 4-4-0s, but we needed financial help to get her here. As it happens NYMR need her and so she was unavailable for hire for the gala anyway.

49395 would be great, but we haven't budgeted for her. So unless there is someone who is prepared to pay the Transport bills, then you will have to wait and see what we have budgeted for.

Well we haven't yet! But there again we might have to if we don't get some more volunteers to help run it!

The link to the volunteering form has had 452 redirects so far, but I haven't received forms from anybody in Nat Pres that I didn't know about beforehand. This is somewhat disappointing. I hope that a few of the redirects will lead to a positive response. I shall be starting to collate the forms we have shortly to see how many people we still need.

Meanwhile advance ticket bookings continue to arrive and many are 9 day tickets. B & B's reporting good bookings and many are full now. However, there are plenty of places to stay even if they aren't right next door to the Railway. Please see links on the Gala Website under the 'Your Visit' section to Places to Stay.

I am now booked up at the Carrog Station camp site.
    With Ally and the dog.

I am going to be helping out at the event, as is Ben.

    Anyone else?
