Freight Cruise details to be announced on Monday. I can confirm it will be 9017 AND 5526 Double-heading, dep. From Llangollen approx 19:00.

Also will hopefully have details of a shed photo shoot on Thursday evening, with the pairing of 7822 and 9017 as the main attraction.

I too will be at Minehead this wweekend alongside 6880rules and MrPerfection. Feel free to come and find us.

I am pleased to say i have received my tickets for the gala. I shall be helping out with the gala but I'm also bring along a few of my relatives to enjoy the gala on the second Saturday and i am hoping they will enjoy the trains. One is my nephew and he's only 5 so it will be his first real proper gala. Well other than a Thomas day at Barry so he'll hopefully love it.
Nice to finally see the ticket design after seeing it develop through many ruff drawings. Perfect size really as it's the standard ticket size that you get from the national network so will easily fit in the pocket or wallet.

I've also received my tickets. I also did ask for an event brochure but I presume that it hasn't been finished, audited & sent to the printers yet?

Anyhow, really looking forward to the event now. It's going to be some show. \:D/

It's at the printers. I believe delivery should be right before Easter for those who have pre-ordered.

The brochure is being printed at the moment. Delivery of them to Wales is expected on the 7th/8th April for immediate despatch to people who have pre-paid for them. We couldn't submit the artwork to the printers until Tuesday because I needed to get photos from the charter on Monday!

It is a 36 page full colour production with lots of pictures and packed with info about all the locos and events. Also included is the timetable for all 9-days which includes the loco allocations.

In the meantime here's what the cover looks like anyway:

Is it possible to buy tickets for the event from Llangollen Railway, as I might be heading that way tomorrow?

    Not just yet.

9 of the 11 locomotives originally advertised within our Gala Leaflet will be on stage.

    These being: 246 Morayshire, 1306 Mayflower, 9017 BR Black Dukedog, 3440 City of Truro, 5526 Small Prairie, 5643 0-6-2T, 44806 Black Five, 6430 0-6-0PT, 5199 Large Prairie.

The final cast list showing the addition(s) will be announced soon. Just a little more patience is needed !!

A few videos from the photo-charters this past Thu and Fri. 9017 really does look the business. If you weren't already planning on going to the gala (!) maybe this will tempt you:

Nice to meet up with some of the 6880 guys again! And yes, we do want the Dukedog back, rather than the Black 5 :)

    Cheers,
    Jon

I'm afraid as far as i know you can only buy tickets from us at the moment. We'll be at Barrow Hill next weekend if that's any help.
