Apologies. The person who was sending the tickets out fell ill, so ill he was unable to inform us. Therefore a backlogue was created, however he is now fit and well again and we are helping him to catch up. Everything should be with you by the end of the week if I'm not mistaken.

Re Brochure: If a large (A4 sized) stamped addressed envelope was sent in with the application then this would have sufficed, but unfortunately the A4 sized envelope request/information was omitted from the booking form. Consequently most of the brochures are/will be sent out using our own stock of A4 envelopes and stamps.

Re Tickets: Advance tickets will be dispatched in the order the applications were received. The original closing date (31st March) allowed time for tickets to be dispatched by Easter. After processing some of the very late advance bookings (ie Post April), there may be insufficient time for the tickets to be sent in the post.

In these instances, a list of applicants will be held at the event to enable discounted ticket(s) to be picked up in person when they arrive.

Updates will appear on the Gala website.

Cheers for the rapid response lil Bear. There's still plenty of time for them to appear, even allowing for Easter.

are there going to be any allocations added to the time table, the excel timetable is excellent by the way covers all the week with stock diagrams but no engine numbers, it is a long way to come from south wales with hardly any indication of what trains to go for if you are after spefic motive power

I was lucky enough to be in Llangollen yesterday and saw Mayflower arrive - fantastic condition.

The Betton Grange and Llangollen Railway teams are doing a fabulous job on this one. It'll certainly show all those who said it couldn't be done way back in 2007.

(Will still needs a good haircut though!)

The gala programme has the loco allocations. These will be available for £3 on the day at the gala. I'm sure elsewhere on this thread it has been indicated what locos are rostered each day - it's in the latest steam railway magazine.

Mate, I'm coming from Somerset & I dont care what engines are on what trains in what order! We're just going to enjoy the exp. & will prob. be sleeping in the car, but what the hell! after a few pints it wont seem to bad! Its a social occasion as well, like the Dorset Steam Fair of the railway world!

I can top you both on distance travelled, and i understand from one of the organizers that there is someone coming even further than i am from Australia for the Gala!!! It doesn't matter to me what engines are on which trains, so long as they put on a good show doing it!!!

Only 3 hours till i leave the office and 6.5 till my flight to the UK....Huzzah for Vacation!!! See everyone in a bit over a week in Llangollen!!!
