Ian, I'm sorry I was meaning to put a list of which locos are out and when but I've got other more pressing concerns atm. Once I'm able to get a breather I'll try to get one put up.

And glad to hear so many people are looking forward to it. I'll be around, and looking at the roster I have 3 turns on a Gresley 3cylinder beastie to enjoy =P~

Then there all the 6880 stuff aswell so looking forward to it all!

    fancy a drink?

Here is a list of what can be sampled at the beer festival I am in doubt that this is not the final list and more will be added

Bombardier Wells and Young's 4.3 A burnished copper colour, it has a rich temptingaroma of peppery hops and raisins, while the palate is dominated by more dark fruit, juicy malt and tangy hops. (Roger Protz - editor of the Good Beer Guide)

Young's Bitter Wells and Young's 3.7 A refreshing ale, golden in colour, with a light dry palate, a fresh fruity aroma and a long satisfying bitter finish. Young's bitter is a 100% malt brew combining Maris Otter and Crystal malt with locally sourced British Fuggle and Golding hops

Young's Special Wells and Young's 4.5 Amber in colour, Young's Special has a fruity, slightly estery nose with a good hop aroma and full round flavour, a fine balance between malt and hops.

Directors Wells and Young's 4.8 It is a genuine premium ale, pale brown in appearance with a deep rich taste. As part of the Courage family it has over 200 years of brewing pedigree. Directors was originally brewed exclusively for the directors of the Alton brewery and not for public sale.

Courage Best Wells and Young's 4.0 Pale brown in appearance with a bitter after taste, Courage Best consumers enjoy its lower ABV of 4.0% that allows them the opportunity to enjoy their favourite ale for longer.

Landlord Timothy Taylors 4.3 Refreshingly reliable, nationaly renowned, this full drinking pale ale with a complex and hoppy aroma has real pulling power and stands out in any bar as the ideal regular

6X Wadworths 4.3 Wadworth's flagship ale. Full bodied and distinctive, with complex bitter-sweet flavours in the mouth. Lingering dry malty finish with vanilla notes. A deep copper coloured ale of enormous depth and complexity.

Wells IPA Eagle Wells and Young's 3.6 IPA Eagle is a long standing favourite within the Charles Wells heartland. It has an amber hue and a complex finish of bitter hops, nuts and citrus fruits.

Abergele Ale North Wales Brewery 5.0 Fuggle hops give this ale its aroma. Everyone who tries it loves this ale.

I'm going to enjoy sampling my way through most of that list but I'll be aiming for the purple moose for my first pint from the beer festival.

According to the website the shuttle bus from Ruabon runs between 9 am & 6 pm.
I presume these are the times for the start & finish at Ruabon station?

I know. Everyday for years I have cycled pass Archers Brewery enroute to work. They had expanded the business in recent years with extra storage and delivery facilities. Thought they were on the up.

A big shame this latest administration happenned so close to our Gala. Only days before I visited them to clarify arrangements for their beer to be transported to Llangollen. They were due to donate some City of Truro brew to us, but sadly a chance to raise even more funds for 6880 now lost.

I wonder if there is a beer named Royal Scot?
