This trip is on the 22nd.

60007 heads to Newcastle one way on the 19th.

I do not believe A4's are allowed in Kent - Too high.

If you could get off at Hastings for a bit or Rye it might be worth doing. But the booking office confirmed you cant.

Only 60163 seems to be available for the Tangmere tours left then.

60163 would be the logical replacement

It would work out cheaper than getting 70013 to run down all the way from the GCR to do it wouldn't it? I would have thought the only options would be 70013 or 60163, which will be in London after running the previous day. Unless they can somehow wangle 35028 but I would have thought that unlikely.

There is the unthinkable, a diesel.....

Do WCRC have the necessary derogations in place to run 60163 under their safety case?

Also, just to point out that 70013 would have to be transferred by road to a suitable loading point before it can haul any main line excursions, which I think rules it out as being prohibitively expensive.

My money is on 34067 being fixed in time.

    Regards,

    Dan

Most likely to be Tangmere, which has been repaired.

30777 - No - Cost see post above about 70013 and Gauging?

I've seen the BBC weather site, they reckon heavy snow for Monday in this region, so sadly Tornado's runs on Monday may be cancelled and Tangers on Tuesday may be running headlong into severe 'disruption'

I will believe it when I see it... (the snow that is!)

I would hazard a guess that the tour will run but the 67 on the back may get used more than planned to keep to schedule.

47 probably, remember 34067 usually runs with west coast stock. Unless u r referring to 60163, in which case it probably would be a 67.

I've just looked at the BBC weather site and it says +3 and light rain on Monday at Dover.

Met Office forecast is much better ....

Weather forecast: London & South East England
    Day 1 to 2 Day 3 to 5 Day 6 to 15 Seasonal
    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Staying very cold. There may be some more general sleet or snow in the south Monday or Tuesday, otherwise sunshine and scattered snow showers. Severe overnight frosts are likely.

    Updated: 1515 on Sat 19 Dec 2009

The regional maps on the Met Office site are halfway between the two forecasts...

    So - take your pick...

    Cheers, Neil

As WCRC do not have any class 67's I assumed it was obvious that I was referring to the tours with 60163 ;)
