I'm aiming for the ex-Kidder run after hopefully some Cambrian Thrash from Bewdley
What are the VV's? (sorry if it's very obvious lol)
Valley venturer Dining coaches (earlier in this thread there is an explaination of the various set codes).
Oh ok, cheers for that
Lewis I have PM'd The various set codes to you to save you having to look them up and piece them together from the various posts!
Ok, cheers...great help
Excellent, 2 day rover for me then  Nice bit of GW thrash up the bank and a pint or two, eyes shut and imagine it's 7754, nice bit of industrial action!
3205 and 3717 are both now at the SVR ready for gala. 3717's tender will be unloaded in the morning as 3205 and the front end of 3717 are in the way at the moment
I'm planning on attending the gala on Saturday, will be starting from Bridgnorth. Can anybody tell me what the car parking is like there? Will i be ok to get a space around 10.30 ish? Thanks in advance for any info.
all i can say is you'll be VERY lucky at that time! try about 7am
The station car park will no doubt packed... but there is always the field on the other side of the line which may offer some more space - I suspect the weather will dictate just how busy it is though
So there is overflow parking then? Hope so!
5764 was running 21 September according to SVRA unofficial forum thread
I'll be at the Gala Friday and Saturday. I've booked accomodation but may want to ride the trains to about 10 ish. Does anyone know if Kiddy carpark will be open through the nights? If not when do the gates get locked and reopened on Friday night / Saturday morning and Saturday night.
I asked the same question last year, and it was open all night. Whether that has changed this year is another matter, but as services are running all night, I would doubt they would shut the gates, as people will be wanting to leave late or arrive early.
Well they have always left the car park open so I doubt this year will be any different!
Thanks Pete and 5944. I just got last minute jitters.
Having a last minute opportunity to visit for the Friday would anyone be prepared to assist please with the basic information of whether the 09:00 (non-stop?) Kidderminster to Bridgnorth is a GWR or non-GWR loco? Also what time does Kidder' booking office open?
Just have a read of this, a few re-numberings, name changes, designers, class types, original company's of locos. A picture of "Collett"
Brilliant! At least the bit about 'Manston' was correct.
Separate names with a comma.
