Where are those pubs? I can't stay for long in the steam gala but it would be a laugh in the diesel gala. It's a bit gutting that we always seem to get booked on Saturdays instead of Fridays!

The George is opposite the car park its a 2 min walk off the platform past 82045 and you'll see it as you walk down the slope. The lion is over the bridge and left up the hill I'd say about a 10 minute (uphill!) walk

These may be bargains but for the general punter, the evening saver is anything but. Guess they don't want to sell any.

I was originally going to go for the Evening Saver and then a Day ticket for Sunday but as the price was the same as a 2 full day ticket, I went for that instead. I see your point, would have been better to offer a discount for only being able to ride on 'fewer' trains.

Still, the choice has been made now. It means I can get on a train as soon as I get there Saturday (and after I've set my tent up...)

As I'm not a local I'm planning on getting as many pictures and runs as I can but thanks for the advice on where to go, if I get stranded at a Platform any time.

All this in mind it does shout out to me... - return trip for a pub crawl!

They did the other day, I'll be there for the cider at some point over the weekend.

My sister and friends still do it from time to time. I've yet to find time to do it really, I'm usually working on a table C which is probably the best to do it on. And you can have a decent range of drink on the trains!

Probably a really stupid question... but why does the list of Bridgnorth Shunting Instructions on the back of the WTT go from Move 3 to Move 6 on Saturday? What happened to Moves 4 and 5?

Maybe a typo? I know some of the shunts for Bridgnorth where changed last minute so maybe the numbering wasn't updated.

Will WTTs be available on the day? I hadn't bothered with one because I thought I'd only be staying till 3 but I'd like one and I think I've left it a bit late to order one.

Will definitely be there Saturday, tempted to head over Friday afternoon and stay through the night - though at moment looks like we're in for some heavy showers Friday. Also, does anyone know/can recommend any pubs nearby that will show the rugby on Friday night? I'm keen not to miss that either!

Thanks very much. Seems reasonable, and maybe better to have that gap in the numbering than renumber (eg) Move 6 to being Move 4 and potentially confuse things further.

Cant say for certain but the Ship at Highley might be in with a shout I've been in there in the past and the 6 nations has been on. You would have thought the SVR would have taken a leaf out of Mr Gresleys book and put a big screen in one of the coaches like he did with the Flying Scotsman!
