Yep, the diner is, with the very occasional exception, run as an 8 coach set on Sundays. 4 of these are for diners/catering staff only but the other four (including a brake and a buffet) are for general passengers.

The new drainage has done us proud so far. Apart from a slight flooding of the paintshop & boilershop at bridgnorth and a blocked storm drain at Eyemore cutting just south of Victoria Bridge the line has been unaffected by the er..."variable" weather this summer!

Andy, the buffet was in GW2 when I last saw it which was today with the FE. At some point I think it's going back but not for a while.

"The committee remain hopeful that the overhaul of Hagley Hall will commence once that of
34027 ‘Taw Valley’ has been completed, subject to any unforeseen circumstances. The exact
date will depend upon how quickly 34027 is finished and works space is available, but this is
likely to be around 12 months time".

There is a update on the SVR website that SKP is available for service trains soon so with a bit of luck this weekend may be worth a trip out on the saturday.

Sir Keith Park was on the rear of a southbound train as mentioned above, but was then turned at Kidderminster and returned at the head of the train, maybe with 2857 riding shotgun at the rear. Second trip in progress.
If today goes well the Pacific must be on the verge of being accepted into traffic.

Sudden urge to visit the SVR this weekend....

If anyone has a decent photo of SKP heading north on its first train today, we'd appreciate a copy for the SLL website/galleries/FB. nicksidmouth@gmail.com Many thanks.

SVR Engineering advise that same arrangement tomorrow: 34053 on rear of southbound trains, starting with the 10-55 ex Bridgnorth, and then working the corresponding northbound train, which by my calculation will be the 1-00pm and 4-50pm ex-Kidderminster.

    Subject to the usual disclaimers!

Is the same arrangement for SKP likely to be for Friday as well? Its my birthday on the 24th so was thinking of coming up in case it drops on to any service trains. Otherwise I'll just wait until the Autumn Steam Gala!

Likely but not guaranteed. SKP due to undertake running in for the remainder of the week but in what form is a movable feast.

SVR Engineering confirm SKP on the rear of the first Bridgnorth departure again, and all being well should work the two northbound trains ex-Kidderminster as detailed in my earlier post. (13-00 and 16-50 ex-KDR)

The news we've been waiting for about 34053 Sir Keith Park

34053 will make its Solo Passenger debut tomorrow. The 10:55am and 14:55pm departures from Bridgnorth will feature 34053

34053 also to feature on Sunday's CN1 diagram, 11:10am & 14:55pm departures ex BN, and BN1 diagram for remainder of week

I had a good day on 34053 loaded up to 9 today so i guess confident that its fully run in was a great trip in the afternoon and cause of lots of interest on the platforms.

Let's hope the loco or crew performance improves to avoid having to rewrite the timetable every time it's used.17 late leaving HL tonight despite passing 50031 at Bewdley rather than Kidderminster as booked.
Managing to platform two doors of 9 coach train at Bewdley particularly impressive-there's stopping short and .....

Better to keep 3650 and send 34053 to Sussex!
