Just to prove GW 4-6-0's can climb big hills... although I won't say anything about an LM man being in charge of it!

As far as I am aware neither SVR-based Manor is or is likely to be NR registered, and to be honest will be much better kept earning their keep on the SVR than being let loose on the National network.

Personal opinion, not an EMF member!

Diesel roster can be found here: http://www.svr.co.uk/MeetTheLoco.aspx?id=26 Sunday timetable doesn't normally have diesel slot, them only being found on the C service, so suspect your only chance will be the diesel gala.

I have to say I do agree with you, a bit of daydreaming never hurts though! My other little daydream today was 'was 48773 the original 90733? Im sure I've seen photos of it at Eastleigh in 1957 numbered accordingly

I'd love a Mainline Manor again, but suspect it woulden't get very far, either by narrow platforms or the monkey in the cabinet that passes for Cambrian signalling these days.

If Tyseley had one it would be ideal for the Shakespeare's. I'm sure it would get more use than the panniers.

TBH Im suprised there hasnt been more of a tie up between VT and the SVR. Even if it was just a reverse Shakey going to Worcester instead of Stratford with a 'change at Kidderminster for connections to Bewdley and Bridgenorth' that could work. Or you could go the other way and have say 5043 work to Bewdley then have 34027 work back to Snow Hill with 9600/7714 as banker up Owd Hill bonk. With a change at Stourbridge Jcn for 1450 & the Autocoach. Ok perhaps Im getting a bit ahead of myself but Id like to think maybe it could happen one day! :)
