Would this weekend be a great idea for an impromtu 'mixed traffic' event? Ie 60163, 46100, 55019, and 8568/8059 double header?

More likely one of the last two weekends of Tornado running may be a "named express " day with 46100, 60163, 7812, 34027/34053 available.

Saw 60163's afternoon departure from Kidderminster today, eight well-filled coaches, lots of people around, and the A1SLT support stand on the concourse looked to be doing a good trade in "60163 stuff" !

Yeah that could work. Just a thought from this end.

60163's trains were pretty much full all day with the ripple effect meaning the other trains busier than usual, the 15.40 particularly as this is usually very quiet leaving Kidderminster. I suspect there will be two ripple effects next weekend.

When will we know which turn 46100 is on next weekend? Friday pm presumably?

    (BS2 or BN1...)

This affects how early I need to catch a train to KDR on the big railway!

At the latest, but I suspect there will be announcement beforehand saying the expected turns for 46100 like was done with 60163.

Just a reminder that with 7802 reunited with its boiler, that it will be maximum effort to have the loco ready for the "Manor 50" event on November 14th and 15th.
Three Manor class engines celebrating that last days of the class on the Cambrian. ( subject I suppose to the usual caveats about loco availability...)

With the nicer weather today there appeared to be more people out watching 60163 than yesterday. Plenty on the trains as well.

Hopefully the coach roster will be amended as atm BS2 on Saturday (Tornado's train) is down to be only 6 coaches...might a bit of a squeeze...
Also 60163 was due to be turned saturday evening but that was before the alterations occurred so maybe subject to change.

Preempted my question. I was going to ask which way 46100 and 60163 are facing as I want to plan a day of riding and photting on Sunday.

46100 is facing south (towards Kidderminster) as is 60163 at the moment but should be facing north for sunday. I'll post if I hear any change of plan.

The sets have now been changed around for the weekend so on saturday 46100 will have the blood and custards and 60163 the teaks. The instruction about turning has however disappeared....
