I visted the SVR last Saturday with Mike Snow and just wanted to point out that it took us at least 10 minutes and possibly more to get through major roadworks in the centre of Bewdley. There were 4 way temporary traffic lights at the top of the town and almost gridlock when a bus tried to pass a lorry. We were heading to Arley from Bewdley at the time. In fact the queue heading south towards Bewdley was so long we took a huge diversionary route to avoid the pain of the town again on our return. BE WARNED (Unless of course the holes have all been filled in again this week) Anybody got any update...?

61994 wasn't turned yesterday during a photo charter, and so is still facing Bridgnorth, will this be the case for the gala?

The traffic notice shows 61994 turned after the conclusion of the photo charter, and indeed images posted by Phil Sharpe of the move of several engines to Bridgnorth today following lifting of the winter-long engineering possession at Hampton Loade do depict 61994 smokebox towards Kidderminster.
    Worry not Sir!

She was turned at the conclusion of the charter. We had planned to turn in the afternoon but to do would have wasted the sunshine

61994 was facing south today, however 43106 had not been turned and was still facing north.

61994 is facing south but for some reason the southernmost vehicle in the teak rake is a maroon mk1 brake.

Is there any guarantee the Pig and The Marquess will remain facing south on Sunday or will they be turned again?

A great day spent in the valley with a lovely mix of locos, even though the weather was totally clouded over all day...!

Well today it was as follows:

    Facing Kidderminster: 43106, 61994 78019, 7802, 6697, 5164

Facing Bridgnorth: 4566, 46443 and both panniers

I don't see any plans to turn anything before tomorrow in the WTT. I believe 7812 is due to feature as well which is facing Bridgnorth

A very good day with a very complicated timetable which actually works! Well done to everyone concerned. Not as well attended as the Saturday of the Autumn Gala usually is, possibly due to the cold weather but I think a good time was had by all!
