The right people in the right place talking about what they know sorted out the "problem" within a few hours......and no key board experts involved:p

BR 73082 and Jamessquared like this.

And where's the fun in that? I mean, a problem solved before most people were even aware there was a problem in the first place - what's the world coming to?

It's planned to move Fowler 0-4-0DM 4210132 (1957) out of the loco shed tomorrow morning. She'll be partially obscured by the shed doors but visible from trains, the loco shed viewing area and from the footpath behind the shed. (With 8 visiting locos and the 4-VEP set siding space is in short supply!) The loco currently has bonnet covers removed as the engine is being rebuilt. See http://www.may-restoration.co.uk for more info about the restoration project and http://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/diesel_gala_13.htm for the gala details.

I realise that the D4 bit won't be happening, but will the Deltic be out this Saturday? Thanks for any help!

The working timetable shows 55019 working driver experience trains on Thursday (tomorrow) and Friday, and out on service trains on the Saturday. 37521 is diagrammed for service trains on Sunday, the diesels' first services being the 10:40 on Sat/Sun. As ever, all details are subject to change etc.. etc..
Sadly our move of the Fowler to a visible location outside the shed last weekend was cancelled due to operational difficulties.

Many thanks for your helpful reply. as the weather forecast has improved dramatically, I think I'll head for the coast on Saturday. A bit of Dorset Deltic magic!
