Apart from the effect on the availability of banking facilities I would worry more about the effect on cashflow. 20% down with no additional support will be very difficult indeed. It is inevitable that we will see projects delayed. Perhaps worse.

Not having details to hand, how have changes to passenger numbers related to income per passenger?

Re-reading the update it did say concerning the carriage she'd they resending the tenders out for the final stages of construction. So that project alone might be on the final stages.

However it also said they need to sort out some planning issues. Surely that bit should been done before they started?

I think all other major projects are stuffed now

He might be now, but the impression I got is that it wasn't always the case - an economic migrant!

He doesn't post now it appears, some people having ensured that. He only said what he thought - rightly or wrongly - but I don't remember him being offensive. The fact that he is mentioned frequently as Canadian - I don't remember anyone else's nationality and there are other non UK people here - suggests a possible prejudice?

Well I don't think we were discriminatory against him cause he was Canadian. He just said stuff which went against logic.

He made clear that he's based in Canada, having emigrated there some time ago. Beyond that, I'm enjoying his silence unsullied by any prejudice as to where he comes from or currently lives.

I just had my copy of the Spa Valley Starter come though the post. Although its A5 sized and has a couple of less pages, its far more informative, then the last copy of the Swanage Railway News!

Especially on locomotive matters with updates on all working engines and those under overhaul, were as with Swanage apart from the 3 page article on T3 we got next to nothing.

And seemly far more extensive news on other things, the last SWN didn't have a S&T article, or about the dinning trains.

SVS even two articles, one with a former railwayman and the continuing story on how the owner of Sister Dora got that locomotive running. SNW had some pictures.

If even costs less to non-members to buying SVS then it would to buy SRN!

IIt might be just me moaning again, but someone must admit Swanage don't seem to like say whats going on anymore.

It certainly was a bit weak on informative content, I put it down to a new editor out of date news before it went to print and was therefore pulled and a delayed print run. Thank goodness for Facebook!

Just got home! and just received my SRN and yearly report
Top topics noted were the Wareham Trials and the Carriage shed! Somebody has got the message!
Maunsell Coach is a great example of restoration. Loved it. Worth a couple of quid donation and looking forward to the next one.
Other rolling stock that i used on two days was tatty with split cushions. fraying seats and a rough finish.
Compare that to the overall very good quality of the three different sets of stock that i rode in on the SVR!
Catering? Non existent. The booking office at Swanage was rammed so that one would not have worked out anyway.
The Birds Nest sat forlornly at the Coal yard at Corfe, closed on the first day that i passed despite massive crowds ,apparently opening at about 1130h on the second day. No customers!
IMHO SR will have to curtail some of its operations and open up new possibilities if it is to survive.

I won’t be encouraging my children to do so - and it will be some time before grandchildren could be relevant in this context!

I hate to say it but not everyone is on FB or even any kind of Internet news feed. I must admit that number who aren't must be very small. However there must be a small number who are in the dark.
