Good to see some positive publicity. its all money that hopefully will help the railway over the winter period, thats what matters, and on a cold snowy day, whats better than a trip behind a steam engine, with the warm atmosphere you get from the steam heat, as it condenses on the windows, as you glimpse the snow-covered landscape as you steam paast,

Snow covered landscape? Ha! If they are taking their inspiration from films, most Christmas services this year are probably based on that Kevin Costner epic "Waterworld" ...

Just to let anyone know is is working or travelling tomorrow, having finally cleared the gas roadworks at Herston and Harmans Cross SGN are now (since about 20:00) digging up the main outside the house next door. This is in Victoria Avenue just before the car park.
No idea for sure but I expect the temp traffic lights will be there tomorrow.

Proving that however many times you try the sun just does not want to play ball. Only needed to be out slightly earlier to be shining on all the castle.

I was also not remotely surprised either that as I drove back through Harmans Cross there was a man from Southern Gas Networks with a gas sniffer playing their game of "whack a mole" on leaking gas mains. Every time they repair one leak it seems to put pressure on the main elsewhere.

Corfe by night on the 19th, the Castle always looks good when floodlit.
The station lights help with photography (but only just).
I must have missed the renaming of the 33 to "Roxanne";) judging by that coach lighting.

Nope, Jenny is definitely still Jenny, The coaches actually have multicolour lighting, not just red.
Apart from the 1245 Swanage all trains were full end to end today.

I am amazed how many of the passengers (which appear to be nearly all) dress up in the pyjamas and dressing gown. Seems strange seeing them wandering around the town like it as well.
It was actually the first time I have seem multi coaches display the same colour during any run I have photographed.
