For what it's worth today had SKP facing Wareham and the Std Tank facing Swanage.

Slow yes but its dependant on the volunteers who work on them, currently a Maunsell third open number S1381S is having its interior being completed. Only two Bulleid coaches are in service at this time, S4365S and S5751S together with 'Car No. 14'. The next coach might the 'other' Bulleid brake coach S4366S, but this one is very much a wreck, but with it they can recreate a typical Southern three coach set with the other two coaches.

Cheers for the news itss great that there is a slow but steady push to overhauling/restoring them add different look to trains.Be nice to see maunsell coach contrasting with with br mk1s and bullieds. I do enjoy a ride in prenationlisation stock. They have different feel to them. Do the travelling public notice the difference in interior styles comfort?

They certainly do. Sitting in 1475 the other day couple asked me if it was first class.

It good to hear that. I know there are alot more work than a mk1 to look after and overhaul but i do see them as worth it. Add different travelling style. Lms 7828 only a third class but you would think its a 1st class diner. A mixed set would look the business on swanage. Though from looking at previous comments there had been mixed response to doing them up

Isn’t Maunsell TO 1346 currently under overhaul at Rampart? So that will follow 1381 into service.

Then only a Maunsell brake would be needed, and Swanage would have a 3 coach Bulleid set, and a 3 coach Maunsell set.

Any more news on plans for a carriage shed?

'Shrugs' I don't much to do with hem anymore. I think once they get hold of the old gas sidings at Fuzebrook they hope to build something there.

I'm looking at going down to Swanage for a few hours tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has any information on which engines will be out please and which direction they will face?

    Many thanks in advance,
    James
