Its specially designed to prevent us shunters from getting too grubby, we get a shower every time we go in between.

My photos from the Sunday are now on my website. Had a really good day, had a few rides on the train in the morning and then spent some time near Harmans Cross and up Corfe Castle in the afternoon.

Great set of photos Ashley. You certainly chose the brightest day of the three.

Thank you, yes I was very lucky. I was at the Mid Hants on the Saturday in the rain! A little bit of sun makes everything much nicer!

Some great shots there Lewis. Thanks to your lineside pass you've found several angles that occasional visitors can only dream of. Harman's Cross looks nicer than ever from the top of the signal box steps, and the hill just north of Corfe that forms the cutting is a great place to shoot from. Love the night shots of Manston, the Manor, and the terrier as well. If there's another railway that packs so much landscape, bygone charm, and railway infrastructure into 9 miles, I like to know about it.

It seems like such a long time ago now... well I suppose it is in some ways. Had a wonderful time there, it was great to hear the Manor barking away in the Perbecks :)

I have to say I was really impressed with Manston, had a couple of brilliant runs behind her - she has a serious rasp about her!

Hopefully will put a few pics up from the gala on my Fotopics site soon but here's one of Manston on the frieght on the approach to Corfe Castle - with the sun acutally out :)
