She was going very well on Bearsted bank earlier. Think the 10 mins or so late through T Wells was quite fortunate as the service trains were running very late especialy in the up direction.

A fantastic day for Tangmere - Got a couple of good shots and a video thrashing through Stonegate. Great to see no box on the back.

Indeed it was. A great lunchtime run with 34067 today with plenty of Bulleid thrash! A very noisy climb of Bearstead bank. The best run we have had with 34067.

On time at West Byfleet this evening but crawling at around 20mph. Many empty seats.

There was a lot of slack in the schedule on the evening trip. We left 10 minutes late and were on time by Willesden. We had god running between Woking and Guildford, and Shalford to Reigate. Gomshall to Reigate 11 miles in 11 minutes approx ( Downhill). We were on the fastline between just out side East Croydon until we turned off north of Clapham J. About 190 passengers on board. A enjoyable after work evening jaunt. Thanks to SD, WCRC & the support crews.

Why did he need to run between those places? I thought he was omnipresent.

Good to hear you had a good run too. We were tempted after the lunch run but the arrival time of 22.40 back at Victoria put us and quite a few others off the evening jaunt. SD can't have made any money from the evening run if they only had 190 passengers on board out of a potential 400+ they could have had.

Yes the late return arrivals can be a problem. I'd have quite liked to have turned up for that evening run yesterday.

And with a similar timed arrival back for the 30th June trip I am on, I've decided I shall have to drive to Woking and pick up/leave the train there.

Means fighting the M25 rush hour traffic in the morning. And the overnight roads works in the late evening!

34067 seemed to perform faultlessly on both tours yesterday. Could it now be said that her mechanical gremlins are behind her?
