Had an awesome weekend, once again. Super running from all locos and the bloke that was with Marcus must of been on a different train between Edb and Yk,it was the fire risk that meant it wasn't going for it all the way,but after York it really went well. The Duchess also performed brilliantly and sounded superb, especially at Donny and Retford!

Thanks to everybody at Steam Dreams,West Coast,NR and of course the support crews. Also a special thanks again to Mike for the special coach organisation :)

My photos from the tour are now up at:

    ---------------------------------------------

There are also these that i took on Sunday night/Monday morning,i wanted to see the sleeper but didn't realise all the movements that went on between 23:00 and 01:00! So me and Oli ended up on the station till the gates were been locked and the friendly scottish station man' had to come and tell us they were locking up! Eventually got back into the hotel at 01:15 and lost a bit of sleep but who cares,i hope you will agree these are some of my best shots i have ever taken at night. They are actually my best of the weekend.

It includes 4 67s and 2 90s as well as about 4 or 5 different Mk2/3 sets, can't complain there isn't anything interesting in Scotland,it was brilliant!

19.54 from Stevenage, 20.33 arrival at King's X on platform 1, couple of quick photos and dash round to platform 11B for 20.36 to Finsbury Park to catch my usual train to work! Worked out well in the end.

The highlights were Saturday from York - just south of Doncaster on the Fast Line, Newcastle - Edinburgh, and Monday from Doncaster - Retford. Not as good as the previous 2, but still an enjoyable trip.
