Some great offerings from today, now at last YouTube has finished processing mine, but only in standard quality so far. Helwith Bridge (Northbound) and Moor End, just south of Kirkby Stephen (Southbound). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRLRvLX597I

Thanks to Alberta for the progress updates, there were much appreciated.
Thanks also to Western Bulleid, (David) for joining me.

Yes, well done for all the great photos/vids already published on a day that had the rare combination of 3s -- sun snow and steam
Here's my offering. Nearly got caught out at Ais Gill with running around 20+ minutes early

Just back from a superb day. Snow, sun and a scot working very hard made it a worthwhile trip. Only downside was 30 mins early back into Hellfield so less time behind the Scot but then having to wait over an hour for the path back to Man Vic where we arrive 10mins late. But who cares about the diesal leg when we had a run like that, nothing can compare and if it does I hope I am there!!

Some on board pics etc to follow.

There’s some superb photos and videos out there guys, well done!
Well i went up to Ribblehead this morning and was just thinking all the way up, ohh dear look at this wind outside, got to Ribblehead and as predicted was rather windy, however the Microphone didn't pick anything up so was rather chuffed. Was rather disapproving of the fact of how I’d managed to walk on ice which decided it was going to break which i went straight through and into this massive pool of freezing and i mean freezing water #-o I really wasn't impressed, i put it down to all the extra hoodies and pairs of socks i had on haha. Well managed to get back to the car and we drove up to Ais Gill for the two 20's but the shot was rather destroyed by still photographers insisting on talking whilst the train passed ](*,). We then slowly made our way up to Kirkby Stephen to try and find somewhere to film the return which we managed to find Birkett common, one very strong wind up there, too strong in fact, was bitterly cold but the result from 46115 was out of this world, was truly spectacular and the great thing was... Not an ounce of wind was picked up today :) So rather pleased with today’s outcome :)

Considering the poor lighting most of the time and falling through the ice you did a great job Simon, thanks for those.

Friday was wall to wall sunshine, sod's law! ](*,)

Agree with Swiss Toni, a lovely video Simon especially after the mishap!!

This wasn't you after cracking through the ice by any chance, seen at Ribblehead!!! By the way does anyone know who the footplate crew were who were responsible for that scintillating run from Appleby?

That s a lovely bit of film at Ais Gill, thanks for sharing and prob near freezing in the process.
Nice to hear the hiss from the front end has gone, she was doing a fair old speed with 12 on, no wonder many regarded the Scots as the finest 4-6-0's in the country!
