45231 today. Back to 8 coaches as well.

 

I hope those cylinders are behaving today.

 

It'll be interesting to make comparison with the Waverley later in the summer which is now essentially the same operation but by RTC. Additional coaches and a diesel on the back?

Cracking video Steve, sound captured superbly despite the wind - 45231 well on top of the job there. Even in the rain, there is something about the S & C that can transport you back half a century. Many thanks for turning out Steve to record the event, well worth watching.

Having been suitably refreshed, LMS 5MT Class 4-6-0 No. 45231 'The Sherwood Forester' accelerates away from Appleby with the return leg of the 'Dalesman'

Leander was still sat in platform 3 at Carlisle facing northwards at 4:55. Don't think it's moved since it arrived.
